We must preach the person & works of Christ, which shows us our need for a Savior.

1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

*Jesus didn’t come to help you save yourself, He came to save you.

Spurgeon wrote, Preach the Gospel…not just about it...If we really want to see true conversions, then we must preach the Gospel!

Preaching of the Gospel is not to get you to come to a building, but to cause the dead in you to rise up…that’s what the Gospel does.

Don’t be scared to tell ppl…Why? Because you know it has the power to save & transform lives.

The Gospel is how God makes us right in His sight…it’s through Faith in His Son that we obtain life.

*I am the effect (by-product) of what the Gospel can do…in other words, it saved me…I had nothing to do w/it. His lovingkindness drew me.

Where Jesus is exalted, souls are attracted.

Gospel is not only words, but it has POWER!

(There should be enough Gospel in every message to save a soul)!

The Gospel can do for us what we can’t do for ourselves.

We have to want change & come to the knowledge that we are sinful & can’t remedy our own condition & understand that we need God’s power to help us.

There’s so much bad news in our world & it’s because of sin, but it can be dealt with.

**Repentance towards God & Believing in Jesus**

God can forgive you, change your life by His mercy (removal of all misery)…in other words, not giving you want you deserved.

The Gospel sanctifies us…sets us apart…disconnects us from our past, so that we can fulfill our purpose…You can’t serve God unless you have separated yourself…Be ye Holy!

Paul from the moment of his salvation, never wavered from what he was called to do…preach the Gospel.

The reason we are ashamed is because we haven’t truly grasped the power of God.

Jer.13:23,

Can Ethiopians change the color of their skin or leopards change their spots? Can you do good when you’re taught to do wrong?

We CANNOT change ourselves…No other book, techniques, programs can do it…they can help, but they can’t change you or take away your sins. Only the Gospel can change the heart of man, but is has to be applied.

1 Cor.1:18,

1 Corinthians 1:18 GW

The message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.

Gospel - the only message of salvation.

You will experience ppl rejecting you, but don’t change the message just to make others comfortable.

Don’t think that just because ppl reject the Gospel that it lacks power.

What’s the message of the Gospel? Jesus is the only way.

Sound doctrine is just preaching Jesus. Where we indict ourselves is when we preach the absence of Jesus.

Seasons change but the Gospel remains the same.

I know a lot of things have changed, but don’t add or take away anything that God didn’t say. We can’t make it “User friendly…if we try to alter it, we damn ourselves.

To preach any other Gospel, we forfeit the power of God in our lives & ministries.

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
